Most important is that the dossier files be clearly identifiable and readily and completely available: the dossier should be completely downloadable.

The format of the web site should be simple and presentable.

There should be pdf and/or html files of the entire dossier such that the contents of the files may be loaded into and viewed in a browser window.

You may also wish to convert the JAR file to an .exe file which is more convenient on the WinTel platform. This may be in addition to the executable JAR file but may not replace it as the .exe file is not cross-platform. Alternatively, for the WinTel platform, you may create an executable file with JSmooth. JSmooth is a Java Executable Wrapper that makes a standard Windows executable binary (.exe) from a jar file. It makes java deployment much smoother and user-friendly, as it is able to find a Java VM by itself. When no VM is available, it provides feed-back to the users, and can launch the default web browser to an URL that explains how to download a Java VM.

Peter's AVI movie was created with a really nice application called SnagIt that automatically captures screen activity as an AVI movie.

Separate source code files

Create an AVI movie demonstrating the use of your dossier using SnagIt or similar software that automatically captures screen activity as an AVI movie. Beware that even brief AVI movies are extremely large files.

Alternatively, you may make a movie from the open source Cam Studio. or a presentation using Wink.
